I think I discovered a new tree species while out and about in the San Gabes today. It had very unusual fruit. Anyone come across this before?

Perhaps related to Rock Maple
Acer saccharum
Ricos Burned Rock Oak
Ricoia Quercus saxum ssp. extermino
