Haven't found a good spot yet, not looking for much. Dark, quiet, no traffic. I've been kicked out of several parking lots. Any suggestions?

Yes, the gate is usually closed at night, but I've seen Boy Scouts overnight camping in the park. Call Sierra Madre police...they'll tell you if you can "camp" there or not...just tell them you have a tent!

My dog might let you sleep in our backyard :D

There is an official campground in Millard Canyon. Probably your best bet I would think.

Of course, Gould Mesa and Hoegee's trail camps are a short walk in from their trail heads. One can also camp at Henninger Flats (although obviously not inhis or her car. One could also hike up to Echo Mtn and bivvy there.

Ok sweet I might try my luck with the Bailey parking lot or the campground. As long as I don't get one of those super bright police lights shining in my car at 2am again I'll be good.
