We watched the total eclipse from my brother's house in Tennessee. You had to be there. If you didn't see this one, don't miss 2024 that covers Texas to Ohio. Here is a picture.

Nice photo! I've seen partial eclipses before, but a full one is a different thing entirely. Won't miss 2024 :)

Do you know why some images have the "diamond ring" appearance and some don't? Yours looks more like a regular ring.

The diamond appears right at the beginning or end of totality. It's the edge of the sun peeking through. There's probably some refractive effect around the mountains on the moon or something.

I didn't know that. I'll be on the lookout for more photos such as this.
