Mt Baldy Road To Manker Flats: Will it be closed tomorrow Sun 8/20/2017??

hi,

I am just wondering if mt blady road will be closed tomorrow = Sun 8/20/2017??

The reason I ask is because there is an event happening tomorrow from 8am-3pm a the
ski lifts area.

The lift is at the end of the road. If they close the road, how will the pilgrims get to Baldy? I'm going to go with a big faith-based "No" in answer to your question. But you could call the ski lift or the Baldy visitor center to get a fact-based answer.

Thank you Sean -- you are correct. One time, they were having a cyclists' convention at MF and as a result,
the switchbacks on the roads were closed. It was a tough hike just walking those switchbacks and arriving at
MF. Lots of boots were set up there also. I was afraid this might occur again today.

Well I will be going there in a few mins and lets see how it goes.

I just got back and didn't see any signs of a closure. I only went up as far as where the ski hut trail branches off, but I saw plenty of people coming across the top of the backbone trail when I got to the top of Harwood via Register Ridge.
