Do you guys have any recommendations for a good visual guide (book or website) that shows and describes the flora and fauna of the San Gabriel Mountains? I want to familiarize myself with all of the things that I've been coming across (and might come across).
I've seen a couple websites, but they're either incomplete or difficult to use.
I also came across this CD-ROM, but I don't have a CD player anymore...

There is an app for that CD content. An Introduction to Southern California Birds
Because it is limited to So Cal, it is feasible to flip through the whole thing to match up whatever you've seen with a photo. Looks like it's out of print but availability is decent.
