We just learned that the Summit Inn was destroyed in the Bluecut Fire. We stopped there on every trip to the Sierra and Death Valley. It was a fantastic piece of real Americana. We were looking forward to eating lunch there next week as we are are flying into Ontario and driving to Tom's Place. Now there is nothing left but a T shirt and memories. We did the Flat Stanley thing for one of our nephews in 2005. They are the only pictures I took of the place.

Oh bummer. I never got to go there. Only drove past it and wondered how it was about a billion times. RIP.
