Yesterday (5/21) I hiked San Jacinto from the Deer Springs trailhead. The route was up to the PCT, across to Marion Mountain trail, up to the summit, down the Wellman Trail, Wellman Cienega to the Strawberry Junction trail and back to Deer Springs. 20 miles, 5,500' elevation gain. I was doing some conditioning with a heavy pack so the time would not be relevant.
The peak and the trails are now free of significant snow. There were a few minor crossings of soft snow on the Wellman Cienega trail.
The day was clear and beautiful with vistas above low cloud cover.
