Took my daughter this past week on her first Sierra experience. We spent a couple of days on the Lake to fish, relax, and explore.
We camped at above 11,000 feet...neither one of us had any elevation issues, we both had a great time.

Looks like you two had a hike together you will remember for a long time. Great video presentation too. It is great to see young people getting out and really enjoy being in the mountains.
