Nice find. I bet whoever lost that stuff was cursing himself the next time he went searching through his pack for it.

Or.................

This is the price 'eye' have to pay since I now seem to hike in the hood instead of the woods...

Forget picking that thing up, heck, I even backed up a couple of feet and zoomed in to take the photo

I think kids are simply getting high from the N2O chargers. You can probably pick that crap up without getting a disease.

You seem to know a lot about that "Erotica Cream" Sean. Is there something you'd like to share with the group? :P

I found a similar, used cartridge in the San Gabriel Canyon once

and wondered what it was.

Thanks to Google search I now know all I want to know about whippets.

Apparently some whipped cream chargers are branded for erotic purposes. Not sure why. Whenever I have the urge to spray whipped cream on a lady, I'm too lazy to whip the cream myself. I just go to the market and buy the pre-whipped kind.

Yeah, I saw those when I was up there a few weeks ago. Interesting way for a ski resort operation to make ends meet.

It didn't seem like they had enough snow this year for more than a few good ski days/weekends. I hope the tent cabin thing pans out. They cost $109/night.

Well, well.

Sean BEARdain, intrepid food explorer meets plant dispersal omnivore.

How about an apertif of civet coffee?

After my Skull Canyon hike, I drove to Redbox and was surprised to see that the Haramokngna Center was still open at 7pm. I bought a soda and looked around. And in a little jar they had some of the same kind of tree nuts that I had found in the pile of bear poop. Apparently they are cherry nuts. Are there actually cherry trees full of cherries in the mountains?

Somebody left this HotMocs beanie on the Angeles Crest Highway...

Image

It has an inner pouch for holding Eispiraten.com stickers, which help keep the skull warm.

Image

Now the beanie is MINE! I need it for chilly days when I'm self-arresting with my Barco USFS Pulaski Ax.

I found some cool stuff heading up Baldy yesterday. Notable was this heart tied to a distinctive tree above the rock garden. I felt like the Tin Man.
