Bow hunting season started two (or was it three) weeks ago. That UFO-type thingy that went WHOOSH! by you last weekend? That wasn't a sparrow dive bombing you . . .

Maybe we can bring some old 75mm pack howitzers up atop Baldy. Anyone got a few fine asses to carry em up? Maybe bring some ornery single arty guys to drag em up there with promise of single babes along the way?

The SGMDF Militia shall fight... things! Things and stuff! And we shall terrify and confuse!!

Single arty guys? C'mon.
Just get some 11 Charlies and some 40 mm SF/airborne mortars.

Had an interesting encounter on Sunday. Went for a bike ride over Magic Mountain. On the climb, I passed 5 guys coming down on bicycle. Three of the 5 had trailers, so I figured they were the trail crew that was building the new trail into Pacoima Canyon. But no... As I passed the guy in the lead, waved and said "Howdy!", I noticed that it was not tool handles sticking out of the tarp over his trailer. It was a pair of rather lovely deer legs!!! :O
As I passed the others, noticed that they also were quite well armed.
Just past the Magic Mountain cutoff, as I crested the southeast ridge (where I've bivi'd before), I saw a large dome tent and a rack of cut venison. Looks like someone is set for the winter.

Is hunting season still going on? Orange isn't a good look for me.
