Baxter pass to Rae lakes 08/29/14-09/01/14

Baxter pass is a big one, it climbs 6400 feet in 8 miles on mostly unmaintained trail.

once on top of the pass the views are outstanding

it's like you're on another planet

a well deserved dinner at Baxter lake

fin dome reflection in dollar lake

South Fork Woods Creek

I stopped by the ranger station but nobody was home

Rae lakes basin

spawning fish in Arrowhead lake

Diamond peak on the right, Black Mountain on the left

Thanks for the report. That looks like an amazing hike. Do you know the name of the cone-shaped peak in that picture of the stream?

the cone shaped peak is Fin Dome.
