Been awhile since I posted a TR so figured I'm overdue. Not really into the heat, so I get out a lot less in the summer than the rest of the year. Anyhoo, made my way to Baden Powell today from Vincent Gap. You all know the routine so I'll spare you the blow-by-blow.

Lamel Spring is pretty much a puddle. Useable, but you've got to share with the bees. Someone took a huge dump on the use trail just past the spring and left it and some used TP there for all to admire. Nice.

Lots of cuts to the switch-backs, but otherwise the trail is in fine shape. 2 folks on the summit when I arrived, no one when I left. Tons of cops on the ACH late in the day so behave yerselves out there this weekend.

Here's a couple of pics.

Most excellent photos! (as usual)

I never took the side trip to Lamel Spring. Now, I am even less motivated with human poo land mines.

Super pics! Looks scary dry, though.

BP is one of my favorites. Been doing it since my Joy Scouts days (~30 yrs). It was my wife's first 'real' mountain hike, Apr of last year. She'd never done anything more strenuous than Mission Point in Granada Hills, then we did Waterman 2 weeks prior, then BP. Here are some shots:
