I braved the inter-web today. Bought me a new acoustic-electric baritone ukulele for about 60% off! 
I've been on the lookout for a good deal on one for a while. Not exactly a piece of outdoor gear, although the Uke is small enough to lash to a backpack. But I'm not gonna carry an amp and a crazy-azz long extension cord, too, so its staying at home. 8)
