Early Winter on Baldy

Fun conditions up on Baldy this weekend. The snow was patchy up to the hut, but from there it was a nice preview (hopefully) of what's to come. We used nothing more than micros, and it was probably doable in regular boots, but won't be for long if temps stay low. By far the most people I've seen up there in winter conditions, too.

Not much else to report... it's Baldy. I did see a couple people making their way up the bowl, but not really ideal conditions for that route yet, imho. Here are some pics:

Love the look of the icy pine trees. Just another great day in the mountains, huh?

Yup! I almost feel guilty getting this kind of scenery on a simple walk-up...
