Gonna run my first race in September. I chose this one because its 100% trail/dirt. (I hate runnin on pavement, even for one mile, makes me feel like im ruining my legs and back, awful, i did it once, will never do it again!)....Anyways, I also picked this cause its got ele change. I though flat ground wouldnt be any challenge or fun. So, Im hoping ill do ok, since i run across the grand canyon, and 30+ miles up 11,000ft mtns n stuff just for fun, I should be able to do a 50 over some hills, as its at sea level, and the gains are only 900 to 1000ft at a time, im pretty much all ready now, im going to raise my mileage a lil by doing some back to back long runs through July, but since im already runnin 10-12 a day after work at 4000ft elevation, and on one my days off work i do 26-30 miles with about 10-15,000 ft of change, i think im in good shape.

anyone else on here run this trail(s) befor? just curious.

heres linkg if anyone cares :D

I don't do much running anymore (joint issues), but that area has some freakin' awesome scenery that'll be great to run through. Lots of trees, water, and great views of the Pacific Ocean. The area just north of there (Point Reyes Natl Seashore, Redwoods State/Federal Parks, Bodega Bay) is even prettier.
