Made a trip up the Bear Canyon Trail then down the Ski Hut Trail last Sunday. First time on that trail for me. Weather was more like November than May with lots of clouds, a chilly breeze on the summit, and even a few snowflakes on the way back down. Three folks just leaving the summit when we arrived and then we had it all to ourselves. I don't think I've ever been atop Baldy with less than 15 other people. Kinda cool. Some pics:

Great shots and report, up in the clouds. Thanks.

Looks like there is some cover on Bear Canyon.

Always cool to be above the clouds like that, nice pictures.
Did you have a car shuttle from Manker Flat or walk back to the Village?

Yo, thanks for the comments guys. It was a really fun day.

We left a bike chained up at the bottom of the ski lift. One of us was going to ride it down to the car in the Village, but we met some dude named Jay descending Bear Canyon and he offered to meet us at Manker and drive one of us back down to the car. We got to Manker about the same time he did.

You always meet the coolest, happiest peeps in the mountains.

That shot of the clouds on the peak looks really good...I want to head back up there again.
