Hi Everyone

I'm looking for a 10-15mile hike in San Gabriels tomorrow. We would like a bit of snow and ice, but dont have snowshoes or crampons, and wont be using GPS so will need to follow a trail

Any ideas of hike which fit this description?

Thanks

Josh

I would say start at Chantry Flats and hike up to Mt. Wilson.

My first thought too. But be aware that, depending on which trail you take, there might be some exposed (dangerous) ice patches to cross near the top.

Also, Echo Mtn. - Inspiration Pt. - Mt. Lowe from Lake Avenue trailhead (Sam Merrill Trail). Potential for snow/ice on Mt. Lowe's shady areas.

Fox Mtn. and/or Condor Peak. There's a recent TR on Fox I believe. Probably no snow on this hike though.
