Not sure what else to call it as it went sideways right from the get go. Mainly, I forgot to bring my hiking shoes so I was saddled with some work shoes which is highly not recommended
Best to just follow the pictures...
Looking back at UpperBigT...I found the trail at elevation 4500+
Strawberry Peak
Strawberry Potrero
Cross-country talus
Slow going around here..so a closeup of the peak
Up Grotto Creek ridge
Big Tujunga
Josephine NW
This trail be closed until this is fixed...right at Lucas Creek...no bodies were found below.
Lucas Creek "It is wooded, brush-free and mostly open, fairly easy going over a boulder and log-strewn bottom"...maybe in a few years?
A couple of hours later....post-Lucas
This trail needs some help too
waterfall
Water backed up again(although a swim out of Fox not as difficult)
River
Animal prints
Strawberry Peak & the Big Tujunga river
It was much easier pre-Station Fire. Right from the start to Strawberry, the trail is completely overgrown. Of course the trail at Lucas Creek is a major problem that will take a lot of work to deal with. Lucas Creek itself was bare a year ago and is a jungle now, much more difficult than pre-Station Fire.
Big Tujunga canyon is easier, but its growing fast.
