Last Saturday, we participated in the ranger lead Paleontology Tour in Death Valley. We were asked by park naturalist Charlie Callagan to not mention the location of the tour or to post any pictures on the internet. I will comply with that request because the area is too priceless to risk damage by some morons. That said, it is well worth the effort to do this tour. The spring season tours are over as hot weather is approaching. The next round of tours begins Thanksgiving weekend. Demand is high enough that the park uses a lottery to select participants.
