I apologize if this is common knowledge but, I have been unable to find this film with English subtitles - till the 'Cold Splinters' site linked this up.

Have been pissed off at my father for telling me to my face, with an arrogant demeanor - that only crazy people go on the mountains!
But after watching R.M. on this video, dad was right and is also forgiven!

There are so many memorable (to me) lines from both Messner and Kammerlander in this film.

I want to go back and write down Messner's explanation (near the end of the film) about 'drawing a line on the mtns.' etc. that he offers Herzog as a reference for why he does what he does.

The whole journey with Messner is so rewarding. He's a truly unique individual.
