What the heck is going on in the areas highlighted by the arrows? All those lights in the trees...

Looks like lights in the trees to me.

If you look during the day, you notice there are buildings at the location the lights were. The lights were probably from the observatory buildings.

Or...

It was ghosts. Mwahahaha!

I think the Center for High Angular Resolution Astronomy (CHARA) was having some kind of Halloween party. What a wild, whacky bunch

Thanks to all.

I didn't realize the ridge with the CHARA buildings was in the field of view. I thought we were looking at Manzanita Ridge.
