Was doing maintenance on Hoyt Mtn road yesterday afternoon, clearing rocks so I won't get a flat tire.

I had my "Chrome Dome" so I couldn't see what was coming down the road as I was bent over fixing tread on a slide area.

I saw bare feet.... Uh no.. I look up and there's a guy with hands over his package wanting to know if I found his clothes and car keys that where hidden under a rock further down the road/trail, gesturing down trail exposing himself.

"Dude, if I found something like that I'd leave it alone", he started to complement me on my fine trail work and was explaining he hadn't been able to get out into the forest for a while....

Ugh.... Fortunately he moved on when I wasn't interested in chatting.

If I see his vehicle at the trailhead again I'll get photos of it and photos of him if he approaches me again, and contact the Sheriff.

"Only in the Angeles!"

Interestingly, I read about a nude hiking group in Germany and the Netherlands somewhere. Maybe he was one of them or...a misguided Aetherian. I can't imagine wanting to hike in the buff, considering the poison Oak, bugs and sunburn.

:D HikeUp, you always crack me up!

One morning years ago when i was trail running we saw fresh tire tracks all over the fire road. Later that day i ran into a friend of mine who was a Ventura County Sheriff and he said, you know those trails you're always running, we arrested a nude trail runner yesterday. Seems some hikers he came upon didn't much like the view and called 911 on their cell phone. Our poor VC Sheriff don't get much action out here but know a fun collar when they hear one. They wasted no time catching the guy. He said he was from L.A. and has been running trails nude for years.

Less laundry i reckon.
