MR this weekend

Hey kids,

I've got an extra permit for the Whitney MR. I'm taking Friday off work. Most likely heading up after work on Thursday to sleep at the portal, Friday up to UBSL. Sat I'll go up the MR, and depending on how I feel/how much time I have in the day, head over and bag Mt Russell as well. Back to UBSL for the night, out on Sunday.

I've got and will carry the tent and bear canister. Let me know.

need/required are two different things, I think. I've got the BV450, which doesn't weigh much, and I'd be really sad if my grub got marmotized or worse while I'm away on summit-day.

When I did Meysan Lake to Mallory a few weeks back, my can showed zero signs of disturbance. Better safe than sorry? Plus, I LOVE CARRYING EXTRA WEIGHT. Hi-five!
