That is the pits -- I am so sorry I was lucky when my SPOT ran away on San Jacinto last winter -- it was found by a female hiker and SAR member. She contacted SPOT, they contacted me, and she returned it. I'm hoping whoever picked yours up will figure out how to return it.
WooHoo! gives you faith in others. after loosing my camera on a plane a few years ago i now have labels with my name & ph# on my Spot, camera and GPS. just a thought.
I don't know why I didn't think of doing this before, but here god nothing.
On the day Taco and a few others were giving their clinic (Jan 8th), I planted my Black Diamond (dark gray, 70mm) ice axe in a snow bank Right next to the road by the entrance to the ski hut trail, close to the porta potties.
Did anyone happen to find it?? It was my first axe and it broke my heart to lose it . My buddy and I had the same one and when we packed the car I assumed his was mine.. Yup, horrible judgement at that point.
Anyhow, please let me know, thank you very much!
Wild, pop into the Mt. Baldy Visitor Center in Baldy Village. they have a lost & found. it's a long shot, but someone might have turned it in. it sux to loose gear.
Thank you for the suggestion. It is kind of hard for me to do that though since I live in San Diego and currently do not own a vehicle. I will stop by next time I am there however
Yes it does.. considering how expensive it is! Take care

If you run across it, could you please help me get it home to it's owner.

She's doing fine. We took her out for a little hike to the creek near our place. She thought leaves and sticks were the best toys. She laughs and giggle when we take her for a walk -- if she doesn't fall asleep that is.

Please PM to tell me how to stop losing things, or better yet if you have my Thermos.
Actually not mine at all- I swiped it from my 3rd grader's lunch box.
Like a total dumbass, I left something important lying on the ground where I had lunch today. If anyone is going there soon, I would LOVE it if you could grab the item for me. $20 REI gift card as a reward.
Item has no monetary value, but it's valuable to me.
There was a roll of film found about 30 odd feet from the summit register box on Sunday a top of mount Sill in the Sierra's. The film is now in the register box thanks to Mike Moody from the Bay area
