Hey, has anyone ever hiked out of the punchbowl and gone up Williamson and potentially even Will Thrall and Pallett mountains? And, if so, how was it? Would there be enough snow to need crampons? Hoping to get out thataway on Wednesday AM.

I did similar a trip back in Oct 2009

If you'd need crampons etc I don't know, There'd likely be some icy spots you'd not wanna fall

I've done this before, and it's a steep incline in a few areas. This was staying on the north-south ridge just east of the canyon. The ridge become knife-cut halfway up and actually becomes fun (3rd class), but that section is short-lived.
