I'm looking for places to spend nights near the ski resorts. I sleep in the back of my car (4x4), don't need running water, but a toilet would be nice. Free or park service fee only, of course.
Anyone camped at Table Mountain, Appletree, Peavine, or Lake in winter? Any suggestion for Big Bear area?
Keller Peak Road might work. It's about 15min drive to the ski resorts just outside of Arrowhead, and should be quiet. I truck camped there awhile back to do some sport climbing. Nice area, low traffic.
