What's the name of that particular species? I saw one very similar in shape and size on my way back "Downstream" the day Zach, Taco and I went up and down the "Fish Fork" to recover their gear, had to make my way between two choke stones that were bigger than me to avoid walking through "Poison Oak", that bad critter was sitting on the rocks just the other side of those stones so I had to throw pebbles behind him to get him to give me enough distance to get on the far side of the creek and downstream fast before he made other plans, it took him a few to get the idea, but the poison oak looked worse, especailly the way I get it

You might want to stay away from the "Green Mojave Rattlesnake" found in the Johnson Valley- Landers area. It's the deadliest rattler in North America!!! It is a remote region. I'm sure none of you have been out there for hikes, but I can tell you about it!
