Very interesting. The link to the version about Vasquez by Will Thrall is equally fascinating. Will Thrall by the way is the man for whom Thrall Peak is named.

I always heard that the loot/gold was jettisoned in Dark Canyon before crossing the saddle into Big T. Might be under debris at Brown Canyon Dam by now.
