At 0545 Sunday morning, Turtle and I headed up from the Angelus Oaks trailhead after having dropped a car at Vivian Creek. We reached the shuttle car around 1822, twelve hours and thirty-seven minutes later. While I knew we would be attempting to hike through to San Gorgonio Mountain, I was unsure that we would be attempting the 9 peaks. A short ways up 1W07 we started leapfrogging Hvydrt and Jeremy. Hvydrt joined Turtle and me for the 25-mile, 9-peak extravaganza. I was dragging enough to have turned on towards Little Charlton, bypassing its big brother's summit by around 100 horizontal feet. It was cool and windy for most of the day.

San Bernardino Divide Trail - 8.95 Peaks
For the record, it was more like 50 feet, and he didn't want to lose his NHPS membership by standing on the 2' high pile of rocks that is Charltons true summit. Also, I think turtle needs to change his name to hare. Thanks again for letting me tag along, I didn't even have to wake up early to set up the car shuttleI was dragging enough to have turned on towards Little Charlton, bypassing its big brother's summit by around 100 horizontal feet.

Super job Elwood, you got us beat by a long shot!. I thought I saw some movement over there on the San Bernardino's and Gorgonio while I was across the way on Sunday hiking Yucaipa Ridge. We managed 6 peaks but not Allen
Those sunrise photos are great, especially the second one.
Hvydrt you got some great photos too, especially the the FAT Chipmunk (golden mantled squirrel).
It was great weather all day and good views all around
