Wish he had used a hand or other body part to give the cats some scale.

Is "scale" a form of appetizer?

Beautiful and very scary. I usually hike solo and I can only imagine the kind of fear three mountain lions would evoke.

Mom and kids, yes. Mom is the one with the no-nonsense facial expression (or as Matt would say, the "bug-eyed stare"), while the kittens (about a year old - they don't have spots anymore) are still goofing around.

I think they were just curious about him at first. If they were hunting, they wouldn't have been out in the open like that. But as they got closer...gotta think they were considering ALL their options.

 I love Norma!. PM sent.
