Johnny and I headed up to Horse Flats to get a better idea of what's up there. On the way, we tried our hand at what turned out to be a 5.11 on Tunnel Mountain. We only made it up partway before we cleaned it off completely and I bailed by jumping into a scree chute to the right of the route.

Off we went to Horse Flats.

We located the formation we saw from afar last time. Pie Slice, with a couple 5.10's on it.

We didn't bring the right pro for the starting crack on the route, so we bouldered the rest of the day. Tore my hands up real nice!

Then we headed home.

The next day, we headed to Big Rock at Lake Perris, which is closing soon for earthquake retrofitting of the dam or something along those lines.

Our first route was the Hard Trough 5.8, which Johnny led.

We then headed up The Trough for old times sake, and then Crater Maker and Wedunett at night.
