Beautiful footage, beautiful cat. Is that the miraculous cat attractant in your hand?

Nope, I'm just pointing at some random thing. But the scent lure here was Calvin Klein Obsession! They didn't get all crazy over it - but at least stopped to check it out.

Top secret lion attractant.

You know, now you've damned anyone wearing that stuff in the SG's to become Cougar bait.

I'm sure he'd say "that's a lovely dinner outfit you're wearing." (his dinner)

Nice footage as usual. May I ask the general vicinity of this particular footage?

"Santa Monica Mountains" is as specific as I can get with this one - for now...

I will be looking for body guards to help out in checking on this camera in the coming weeks though - anyone interested, send me a PM. It's a short hike.

Body guards or ... offerings to the cougar gods? Throw 'em a few surplus hikers and while they're munching, quietly retrieve your camera. Holy trail quota Batman!

Yeah, that and she had said she was going to put a cam out that way. :) I was more curious if it was near the beach and all the thronging snacks, er, tourists.

Incredible footage. You do great work.
Those cats move with athleticism, it make it easy to see how little chance we humans would have in an attack.

Whats with the 9AM image? I guess that Lion overslept.

No, that refers to the San Mabriel Mountains.

Yeah, we were really impressed to see that! That rock slab is near vertical. I'd call it a 5.6. Tried traversing it myself, and it was tricky! (and I have opposable thumbs!)

Still no word from the pros. I don't suppose they spend a lot of time checking email... :) However - I spend allll day on the computer, which allows me to find stuff like this: I think this cat is P-12, the one who famously crossed the 101 freeway and is the daddy of the new kittens. This photo shows him with blue ear tags, and if you look closely at the video, they seem to match.

Also, this size comparison is pretty cool. I gotta think he outweighs me by a few...

Dat's one big kitty.

But I don't worry about it. Yep, I carry DEET. Best repellent available. 8)
