Tylenol, I sent you an email. I should be good to go on Wednesday, if a little slow, as I'm sick.
Pilot, it's not super steep, typically less than 60 degrees. This route page is from our last route in the area. They should be somewhat similar, though BP's Mine Gulch will be around twice as long.
I think I'm done with the bowl, after about 6 attempts and two climbs of it.
Got some fun stuff we can do from Stockton Flat/Lytle Creek area, since that gives direct access to the north side of everything, where the goods are currently located. Some beautiful stuff up there.
North Face of Baldy/W Baldy is a safe bet, since it'll be good to go for a while.
The north side still looks good, although I wonder about the snow quality. North of the Devils Backbone still has about 2 feet of snow. It's totally untouched and the slope angle isn't too bad. Looks like a 2000' climb from Stockton Flats.
I've actually done a climb up to the DBB from Stockton Flat. I did not like it. It was shaded, and had up to probably 6-7ft (feet) of snow in the couloirs. No sun, no freeze-thaw cycle, meant snow the whole way and no ice/hard snow.
The Northeast Face is one of my big goals, but I've got a bit burned out lately, but am feeling better. I'd like to go up, but not in a group larger than 3.
The north face of Baldy on the other hand, looks fun. Starting from down west of the Baldy/Dawson col at something around 8800ft, around 810m route up the NF to the summit of W Baldy.
Might do something this Thursday or Friday, probably Thursday. Depending on how conditions look, might do something on Mt Baldy starting from Cow Canyon, if anyone is interested in having a day out.
