Anyone else out there use a neck gaiter when it's cold or very windy. I find that it seems to extend the comfort range of clothing by about 10 degrees, especially when you snug it up around your face and nose.
The only negative is that I get some strange looks from people, cause they tend to make a person look like a terrorist with part of the face covered up.

I have used shemaghs before (AKA kaffiyeh). THey are great in weather where cotton isn't a problem.

Otherwise I typically flip my collar up, or wear a balaclava (lost mine).

I prefer the neck gaiter when it's not cold/windy enough for a full balaclava; the gaiter's more versatile.
