Went up there on Sunday.
I had to turn around at Dry lake (no crampons). No regrets though. The air was crisp, had the trail to myself and the sky was so blue, no clouds.
Compared to last year, the sign post for Dry lake was at my feet. I am a short guy so I am guessing the snow pack was about 5 feet high.
It's my second year to Gorgonio and I have never seen that much snow that late in the year.
I heard on the radio that Mammoth Ski resort is expecting to stay open until July. Do you guys think that Gorgonio will have snow that late in the year too?
Just wondering...

This year is a reasonably good snow year, but ya shoulda seen 2005!
Probably, there will be some patches left in July, but it won't be skiable stuff like they've got in Mammoth.
