On the way down I was greeted by signs indicating I was hiking the "Panda Way". Excellent.
Also ran into Sarah (aka TrailHuggerSarah). It was great to see her out there on the trail.
Hastings Peak & Jones Peak: 04-18-2010
Hiked up to Hastings Peak and Jones Peak via the Bailey Canyon trail. I was last up here 6 months ago - here's the TR from that hike. The firebreak along the ridge between Jones and Hastings that was put in during the station fire is starting to grow over - less so on the steepest parts. Also, the beginnings of a use trail along the ridge are forming, whereas 6 months ago it was pretty much a free-for-all.
