You've got to be displaying a lot of firepower before anyone mistakes you for a pot grower.bluerail wrote:Seems pot growers are a big issue up there...and I'm sure thats what we look like.
Snow Creek climb and ski T/R
Exactly. This is what the community needs.LD wrote:"Bravo Zulu" to you guys. A lot of great pics and landmarks. With this route seemingly becoming more popular within the last few years it'll be nice to have a "legal" option if the hammer ever comes down.

We may be going up later, but not on a saturday. You're free to come with if you can get a thursday or friday off.hamik wrote:I appreciate the heads up, Taco, but people have shangaied me into Jtree this weekend, Snow Creek next. Maybe I'll see some of you guys up there then?
Thanks a bunch for those links Cy, some fun readings in those - out and out amazing to my eyes and mind!
I keep hearing about this 'tunnel' area too - are there any good pics that illustrate this infamous tunnel?
I gotta get that John Robinson San Jacinto book!

Last pic is there because it's such a goddamn badass view.
The homie ZACH in them photos!!!!!!!
Thanks Taco - so that's it - that is very tunnely alright, I was think something like a rock tunnel.
At first I thought the tunnel photo might be an April 1st joke - seeing that I wasn't seeing you going through a tunnel at 85mph with a drifting ending...
And agree with ya on the looking down and back photo - plunk a cabin up there - it's a million dollar view for sure!

I am guiding this route (from home). Price is $500 bucks.LD wrote:Excellent climb Sam. Hard enough without blisters.
Damn, if I don't get off the stick and get around to doing this climb I'll need to enter a lottery to get a permit

The "legal" route we took seemed to be bushwhacking most of the way to that tunnel, the tunnel was actually a nice change because it was a tunnel, go figure.TacoDelRio wrote:There's a mesa of sorts up there, on top of "the isthmus" that has the best view in the world. Perfect for a cabin.
The tunnel is fine, but if you DON'T find it, you're kinda screwed. Hard.
