On Friday, Dave, Patrick, and I climbed Ontario Peak via the drainage in between Cherry Canyon and Kerkhoff Canyon. The climb involved over 3000 vertical feet of continuous snow climbing from 35-50 degrees, and 1500 more vertical feet of approaching and ridge traversing. Were it not for the approach, this would be a classic.
Sam, that was one nice write up you posted on your blog site. Had a fantasitc day retracing Norman's descent from 1979 in the opposite direction. Dave that was some amazing work you did with a "gimpy leg" hope that leg heals quickly. Thanks to both of you for the insights to the route's up and down "Falling Rock Canyon".
