Ah shit. Somewhat close, though.

Roadworthy yet? Gotta jump through some California hoops?

No California hoops, it's pre-1973.

Some assembly still required. But it will be drivable once the front end alignment is completed and I get the exhaust system hooked up, maybe within a week.

I misplaced the original license tags somehow in the last decade. Still hunting around for them.

No sound at work, so I couldn't hear her purr.
Nice restoration. Amazing how much room there is under the hood in the old cars.

Smog check is coming to diesels as well. Apparently a lot of post '98 kerosene burners will be very incensed when they have to turn their highly modded trucks back to stock.

When I saw this title, I was reminded of an audio a friend sent around to a bunch of us by email. He said it was really funny, but not loud enough and to turn it up to hear it. So, of course; some got duped. It was a perfectly loud audio that screamed "Hey, everybody - I'm looking at porn!" The guy that turned up the volume and listened to it at Disney corporate almost got fired. Me, I listend at home and laughed.

While we're on the topic of smog-exempt cars with awesome engines... my dream, an RX3 with a 20B.

Note awesome flames

Probably get 8MPG out of a built/Bridge-ported 20B...

That is some serious revving.

Those little electric RC cars are more realistic-sounding than I thought.

Freakin' awesome!!!

My last project was a 1968 El Camino with a 4 bolt main 350 that I turned into a Vortec stroker motor at 383ci with a good torquey Crane cam and a Barry Grant 750cfm Speed Demon carb. Hauled ass! Then I sold it. I am curerntly looking for a 1966 Nova to build and keep.

Keep us posted on the progress.

Sweet build, you've done a lot of really nice work. Awesome when she finally fires up for the first time. . .it's almost like birth. Thanks for sharing the photos.
