I don't have time to post a TR yet, but i was on Baldy today. Just wanted to remind anyone going up this weekend to bring your helmets. There is still rime ice falling off the trees.

Today at the hut there was a skier gearing up to hit the bowl and not wearing a helmet. He took off and within moments HUGE chunks of ice fell from the tree he was standing under. I can't even imagine what that would have done to him. In addition on the bowl, we had a huge piece of ice come flying by that sounded like a car passing. Not exaggerating. It was the size of a car tire!

Be careful and have fun!

I saw a big dorky green Grivel Salamander helmet, so I started throwing ice at it. Didn't realize you were under it.

I'll post one up soon. Whenever I get back from a trip, there are 800 billion interwebz things I have to do before school.

Well I had it set to take pictures automatically every 2-10 seconds.

The vast majority of the pics are looking at my feet trying not to fall off register ridge

Well if yer heading to the bowl, you'll likely see me as well. Looks like we'll boot it up and ski down. There are probably too many post holes enroute for safe skinning!
