I joined Norma, Norris, Ellen, Kathryn & Karin for a fun snowshoe hike up San Jac from the tram. The trail had been broken on Saturday, so it was easy cruisin' all the way. Ran into Patrick and his sister at the tram station, and Calico Cat on the summit. These recent storms left a really nice, dense snowfall. Even out of the track, with no flotation tails, the sinkage was less than I would have expected, considering the depth. Fun day! Pics are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/21042415@N ... 157661623/

WOW -- it's awesome out there in SJ -- love this shoot !

I have to try to make it back there -- we've never been to SJ during winter time. I just hate the long drive especially on the way back.

What happened to the summit sign?

Nice pictures. Love the mountains under fresh snow. I was in the San G vicinity on Sunday, doing some snowshoing of my own and WOW - what a workout.
