NEAR WALTON, Ore. -- The search for a missing Eugene woman is over; crews found the body of 41-year-old Cindie Kogle on Tuesday afternoon. Kogle went missing on Dec. 28 when she left to go hiking near the Wildcat Covered Bridge off Highway 126. She hadn't been seen since.
On Saturday, a fisherman called in Kogle's abandoned SUV, found in the area where she'd been hiking. However, there was no sign of her. The discovery of her SUV led to a three-day search of the area.
The Lane County Sheriff's Office has not released a cause or manner of death. Deputies say they're waiting for an investigation by the county medical examiner.
