Robbery at Eaton Canyon pullout

ALTADENA -- Two robbers held up two hikers at gunpoint Wednesday in a vehicle turnout near Eaton Canyon, authorities said.

The crime occurred about 2:10 p.m. at a turnout along Altadena Drive, just north of Roosevelt Avenue, Los Angeles County sheriff's Lt. Angela Shepherd said.

I used to use that trail head a lot, but haven't for quite a while now due to the break-ins I have heard about. I like to use the EC nature center parking lot instead - seems to be a lot more people there to deter such crap.
