The probability of mud and debris flows from canyons burned in the Station Fire is high:

An interesting read related to this is Control of Nature by John McPhee.
Teh san Gab's are one part of the book - others being the Mighty Miss and and Icelandic lava flow.
I read it some years ago and it was very interesting to me.

I might even have a copy, gotta check the bookshelves.
