I like the map tracking the lions range. Do you think the areas that are clusters are kill sites? Have you ever seen a map like this for cats tracked in Southern California?

haha - that poor cat is gonna have a hangover when he wakes up!

I do have some maps - one really good one of the Santa Monicas, and a low-res one of Warner Springs. I'll try to dig them up.

The clusters might be kill sites. I'm not sure. Might also be den sites?

Cool thing about the collars too - some of them have an automatic release mechanism, so when the battery is close to dying, the collar pops off. No need to recapture the animal. Also, they send out a unique signal if the collar is stationary for an unusually long time. They know by the signal if the cat is hanging out at a kill site for a couple of days, just had kittens, or has died.
