This is one of my usual. Instead of entering thru brand Park. I use the Beaudry trailhead off of Country club Dr cause its on the shade side of the mountain. I take the left fork upto Tongva peak to Skyline View Point and back. See some deer bobcat and hawks usually. Few bikers, but mostly nice and quiet!

Yeah
Beaudry Loop... Ah I know it well

I have hiked the Verdugos for years. Great place for conditioning

My loop Du jour these days is La Tuna / Hostetter to Verdugo Peak

I've been blowing away my old personal bests

My best time hiking was 51:19 to the summit the old "record" was 55min and Mt Biking on Hostetter Rd yesterday afternoon I knocked about 4min off for a time of 53min or so.. (try 55:11 or 1:49 faster....)

Certainly not the 35min other cyclists claim but respectable for a 54yo fatman

I made a map of the various trail and roads it is here

Cheers
