I hiked from Islip Saddle to Baden-Powell and back today, and saw this cutie on the eastern slope of Throop. It was rather docile and didn't get at all excited as I got progressively closer to get these shots.

Those are some pretty cool shots of the rattlesnake. I like how she dug herself a little burrow to lay in.

beautiful shots!! These guys have such interesting colors - that one is pure San Gabriel granite-color.

So cute & cuddly!! :lol:

This snake may be getting ready to shed.

Eggs? They are ovoviviparous, so basically they have live-born young.
