got that call around 1215am.....by 130 we were parking at the port-a-pottys....no moon out , lots of stars, quiet and warm little to no wind.
something above was sending rocks down, seemed like we were being followed. not really scared but was excited...on the way towards the notch
my bro stepped on this guy and jumped about three feet.....musta been asleep or drunk cuz sfter he got stepped on he rattled and stayed there.....

my batteries died so no pics of the city lights but baldy is bad ass at night

Sounds ike good times. I saw a rattler two weeks ago. It was coiled up so I'm not sure of the length, but y guess would be close to 4 feet. I think it was thicker then both my trekking poles combined.

Saw one the other day near the Bridge to somewhere. Ran one over earlier that day. RIP snake.
