Iron Mtn as of 30 Dec
Conditions were perfect today for a normal hike of Big Iron. Dumped my snow gear at the heli-pad as the ridge was clear. I had hoped that in lieu of snow, the steep use trail up from Allison saddle would be packed from recent mosture but no luck. Trail is as loose as ever. Still the toughest single peak hike in the San Gabriels.
