AW,
I think there were two different incidents - one was a hiker, the other was a snow boarder?

I'm pretty sure it was a single incident. No search underway that I'm aware of currently in Wrightwood. LA County Copter 12 found the snowboarder 7:00 this A.M. Nothing on Wrightwood website mentions another search.lilbitmo wrote:AW,

Not sure exactly how he ended up in a creek on the south side of Blue ridge(could have been snow runoff). Have to hand it to the S&R who ,IMO, saved his life seeing as he was lost and couldnt ascend 40ft(very mysterious).
One question I have for the winter travellers is this part about him sleeping in a snow cave. Lets say he did dig out an actual cave in the snow, did this really help him or only a snow cave with the entrance sealed and heated inside works?
It was also interesting to read all those comments basically boiled down villify hikers as stupid. "Shoot him..shoot him I say!".. .."Naw...first..we hang m...then we shoot m".
